For drone pilots
Fly with us
We run measurement and inspection programs across Canada and dispatch certified operators to sites we cannot reach ourselves. You bring the aircraft, the certification and the coverage. We bring the client, the specification and the invoice.
The work
Drone360 runs measurement and inspection programs for engineering, construction, energy, municipal and agricultural clients. Most of it is mapping, volumetrics, thermal inspection and progress documentation, and a good deal of it repeats on a schedule rather than being one off. When a program runs outside Alberta, or when several sites need covering at once, it goes to a pilot on our roster.
You fly to a written capture specification and send the raw data back. We handle the client, the scoping, the processing and the deliverables. You are not managing the relationship, writing the quote or building the outputs, and you are not waiting on a client to pay before you are paid.
What you need before you can be dispatched
You are engaged as an independent operator, so everything on this list is carried by your own company. All of it is confirmed before a work order is issued, not after.
- Transport Canada Advanced RPAS certificate, current. Most of our work is in controlled airspace or near people, so Basic operations will not cover it.
- $2 million commercial general liability and $1 million RPAS liability, held by your business, with certificates provided before dispatch.
- WCB clearance in your own province, in good standing.
- Your own aircraft and sensors. We do not supply equipment. Tell us what you hold and we match you to work it suits.
- A registered business able to invoice us for a completed work order.
How an engagement runs
- You sign the Drone360 subcontractor services agreement once. It covers everything that follows.
- Each job is issued as its own work order stating the site, the capture specification, the deliverable and the fee before you accept it.
- Rates are set per work order and scoped to the deliverable rather than to flight hours. We quote you a figure for the job, you decide whether to take it.
- You fly to the specification and send the raw data. No post processing, no client deliverables, no report writing.
- You invoice us on completion. The client relationship, the invoice to them and the collection risk are ours.
What we look for beyond the paperwork
Repeat work goes to operators who fly the specification exactly as written, turn data around quickly, and communicate when a site does not match what was briefed. A program that repeats monthly for five years only works if every capture matches the last one, so consistency matters more here than range.
We also care how you conduct yourself on someone else's site. Much of this work happens on live industrial ground, on golf courses during play, at cemeteries during services, and around people who did not ask for a drone to be there. You are representing us when you are on that site.
