The last-seen spotYou tell us where your animal was last seen. We check that spot, the airspace and the next flying window, and call you back within 30 to 60 minutes. Settle people and other pets indoors so the only heat out there is your animal.
The right windowWe fly in the last hours before sunset or the first after dawn. The ground is cool, so body heat stands out, and there is still light to confirm what we are seeing.
A systematic thermal searchThe thermal camera flies an expanding search outward from the last-seen spot, so no ground is missed or flown twice.
Confirmed on the zoom cameraThe drone carries two cameras. The thermal camera picks up the heat signatures, then we zoom in on each one with the high resolution zoom camera to see what animal it is. Deer and other wildlife are ruled out, and we send you and your ground team the position once we know it is your animal.
Guiding the ground teamWe send the position to you and your ground team and keep watching from above. Approaching and catching stays with you, because a frightened animal is best approached by someone it knows.

The pricing above is part of this request. $400 covers the first 2 hours on site, then $150 for each hour after. Travel is included up to 60 minutes round trip from central Edmonton. Past that, the whole round trip is charged at $100 per hour.
Payment is settled before the flight. A search is a same day job, so the fee is confirmed and paid up front, before the aircraft leaves the case.
The fee covers the flight, not the outcome. The cost is the same whether a heat signature turns up in the first ten minutes or the last, and the same if nothing is found. You are paying for a trained pilot, a thermal aircraft and a systematic search of the area.
We are eyes in the sky. Drone360 locates and reports positions. Approaching, catching, handling or transporting the animal stays with you and your ground team. A frightened animal is best approached by someone it knows.
We fly the areas you point us to wherever it is legal and safe to do so. Airspace rules, property boundaries, weather, light and wind all set the limits, and we will tell you plainly which parts of a search area we are able to cover.

CaptureThe drone flies a grid over the pile, taking overlapping photos from every angle (or lidar where it fits better).
3D surfaceProcessing turns the overlap into a dense 3D surface of the pile, accurate to centimetres when it's tied to ground control.
Base surfaceA base surface is set along the pile's toe, where it meets the ground. Everything above it counts toward the volume.
VolumeThe software fills the space between the base and the surface and reports the volume in cubic metres. The figures shown are an example.
Change since last visitFly again next month and compare surfaces. Red is material removed and green is material added, so inventory and haul figures are measured.
DeliverablesA volume report, a cut and fill map, and a surface you can compare against at every visit.

Hidden moistureWater gets under a roof membrane and soaks the insulation. From above, the roof looks perfectly normal.
Thermal at middayFly thermal at midday and the sun heats the whole surface. The wet area gets lost in an evenly hot roof.
Thermal before sunriseOvernight the roof gives up its heat. Wet insulation holds heat longer, so before sunrise it stands out warmer than the dry roof around it.
Numbered findingsEach anomaly is outlined, numbered and placed on the roof plan so the roofer knows where to core and confirm.

What the eye seesTo the eye and a normal camera, the canopy looks evenly green. Early stress doesn't show yet.
Reflected lightHealthy leaves reflect strongly in near-infrared and absorb red. Stressed plants reflect less near-infrared, long before they turn yellow. A multispectral camera measures both bands.
The NDVI mapNDVI compares those two bands for every pixel. Green is vigorous growth; yellow and red flag stress from water, nutrients, pests or drainage.
Zones and scout pointsProblem areas become zones with scout points, exported for your farm software or variable rate application.

Laser pulsesThe lidar sensor fires hundreds of thousands of laser pulses a second and times each return. Some hit leaves and branches. Some slip through the gaps and reach the ground.
A 3D point cloudEvery return becomes a point with an exact position. Lane by lane, millions of them build a 3D point cloud of the canopy and the terrain beneath it.
ClassificationSoftware classifies each point as ground, vegetation, building and so on. The vegetation is set aside, leaving only the ground returns.
Bare earthThe ground points become a bare earth terrain model and contours. A photo-based model can only see the treetops; lidar reports the ground itself.
DeliverablesDelivered as a classified point cloud (LAS or LAZ), a bare earth model, contours and CAD and GIS ready packages.

How we work, before you send this

Quotes are scoped, not estimated. You receive one project value with the positioning method, the deliverables and the delivery window stated. There is no hourly rate and no meter running while the aircraft is up. Missing animal searches are the exception, priced by the visit hour as set out on that service.
Weather and airspace set the schedule. Where conditions would produce data that fails the quoted specification, the flight moves at no charge. Authorization is arranged before the window rather than on the day.
Your data stays yours to use. Copyright in the imagery stays with Drone360 and you receive a broad perpetual licence for your own business purposes. We publish nothing from your project without written permission.
Businesses are invoiced, individuals pay up front. Companies, contractors, municipalities and organisations are invoiced on delivery against a purchase order or signed quote, with no deposit. Work booked personally rather than through a business is settled before the flight. Whichever applies to you is stated in your quote before you commit to anything.
Files are held for twelve months from the capture date in access controlled storage, so keep your own copies of anything you need beyond that.
